Do I need to get planning permission to run a mobile catering van on private land. The unit will be towed everyday and moved at the end of shift, therefore not being a permeant fixture on the land. The van will run Monday to Friday only

Do I need planning to run a catering unit on private land. There has been a unit sited for over 18 years. The local council are now saying i may now need planning. They have ruled out the need for a street licence

On what basis are the LPA stating you require Planning? There are other rules and licences for its operation so not specifically Planning.

Planning for catering unit on private land
The licencing department have said I don't need a street licence, but need planning because the unit is permanently sited

Can you not check with the LPA as it seems to be a better and quicker process?
