Build a detached garage in conservation area

I live in Mid Suffolk District Council area and we are in a conservation area. The house is not listed.

I am considering a double garage and wonder if the conservation area consent could be a problem. We have a large front garden and there are several possible locations:

1. at either side facing an existing driveway but in front of the line of the front of the house.

2. to one side of the house but not coming past the front line of the house.

Options 1 and 2 would be oak frame and slates to match house.

3. On the front of the existing double garage to one side of the house to make a double length garage. This would not take the garage beyond the front line of the house, it would be built to replicate the existing structure.

4. Underground storage solution.

Any comments or advice welcome.
