Planning for sheds used as temporary living for self-build

Hi,
I realise the rules may vary by planning department but we are soon to embark on a self build in Ceredigion. We have outline consent and are just waiting to get details approved. It would simplify matters if we could erect a couple of substantial sheds (6×5m) on a portion of the land not seen from the road (total land area is 3 acres). We could then move some of our stored possessions pre-build and have somewhere to sleep for the build. The latter would mean a water connection. We will be self-sufficient for the rest.
This is obviously more permanent than a caravan or portakabin but the use plan is temporary.
I'm curious to hear what others would advise on the question of planning consultation and likelihood of permission. We obviously don't want to get on the wrong side of the planning officer but it seems such a sensible and practical option it would be a shame not to consider.
Cheers for any advice.
M

They would require both Planning and Building Regulation approvals.

In relation to Planning, they may agree to provide you with a temporary consent for say 12mths. As you already have a current and pending Reserved Matters application with the LPA, have an informal discussion with your Planning Officer.
