Hi all, i have a piece of land that has been successfully approved as development land. I have submitted plans to build 5 dwellings. Though i spoke with my closest neighbhors about the plan, they all said they dont want more houses on the estate and have submitted objections to the plans. Any ideas how i can proceed. The plans are still with the Planning department.

Proceed with or about what? Just because objections have been submitted, doesn’t mean your application will be refused. It may be worth you (or your agent if you have one) to address those objections with the Planning Officer. Remember the objections have to be material Planning issues and not just “I don’t like it”.

Does your LPA have a policy in place that a number of objections would trigger the application to be heard at Committee?
