Change of Use via Prior Approval

I am looking at a commercial property that has the potential of conversion using prior approval via class MA (from class E to C3).

I hope this is not a foolish question - but if granted, once complete would I have the same permitted development rights going forwards as other C3 dwellings (e.g in time can I install double glazing, add french doors, build a porch etc) without having to go through a full planning application?

Property is not a listed building, not in a conservation area or subject to any section 4 restrictions.

I appreciate it is perhaps a foolish question but I find it confusing as to whether it stays classified as MA or just becomes C3 and MA is just a transitional period? The property is likely to need to go through several phases of changes before we are finished but we are keen to get the change of use sorted initially as swiftly and simply as possible (hence prior approval route) but understand how it impacts future stages of work.

Thank you for any help or insights you can offer!
