Hi
I have a previous approved planning application for a cafe bar in residential area but council restricted opening hours to 8pm..I submitted variation to increase to 11pm but following residents objections lowered to 10pm..Council now want to approve fir 12 month period to see how it goes!..gotta spend £100k on project..doesn't seem reasonable to me but advice much appreciated as I may appeal..thanks

That would be down you decide. Sounds like you want to Appeal the temporary 12 month permission as opposed to the reduction in opening times by 1 hour?

Btw, it doesn’t mean you’d have to revert back to the previous use after 12 months. It just means you would need to re-apply.

Hi Damien.. I originally asked for 11lm..reduced voluntarily to 10pm...and agreed additional noise reduction measures...no objections from envirinmental health and it wasn't them who suggested 12month temp permission..
I'm thinking pressure from Councillor lobbying?..2 councillors objected...possible cave in?

Maybe so. Sounds like if you don’t agree, then your application is likely to be refused. You just have to weigh it all up.
