Advice please

Hello,

Looking to add a side door to my property. Down stairs flat in a house converted to four flats.

I have had a discussion with Studio Charrette, they quote £899 to draw plans and file documents with planning permission department. They have told me the job is feasible (after a fee and conversation)

My question is. Should I use this service and pay the £899 fee or should I be figuring it out myself and filing plans/documents directly.

Is there a big cost difference. Is it a hard or easy process?

First house and first attempt at anything like this.
