Smaller slurry store than permission granted- do I need a new planning application ?

I have got full planning permission for a 26m diameter 4 m high slurry store passed. I have since decided I only need a 21m diameter store with the same height as before. Same position and within the circle where the planning has been granted. As it is smaller and nothing outside of what has been passed in the same location just smaller- do I have to go all the way back through planning or can I just start and the permission granted will cover the smaller store? Any help MOST appreciated

Although it’ll be smaller, it is a change so would technically require some form of approval. You have two options… submit a Variation of Condition or a revised Full application. The latter may exempt you from having to pay the application fee again.

Both applications would require amended drawings and they may also require amended reports to deal with the reduction in size.
