Hi! I was just wondering if you can help me- I’m looking at getting a garden office/ studio in the back garden. I’d be having it very near the boundary overlooking the view of the field that my property backs on to (about 1 metre from the boundary). It would be 6m x 4m and 2.4m high, so would I be able to do it without planning permission? Only I’ve had 2 conflicting opinions..

Thanks,
Ben

Providing you have PD rights and comply with the rest of the PD criteria, then an outbuilding of those dimensions would be considered to be PD.

An outbuilding of that size would also be exempt from Building Regulations.
