CCTV cameras

Do I require planning permission to fit modern dome-type CCTV cameras on my property? I'm not in a conservation area and the property is not listed. I'd make sure any recorded images are not shared and that camera coverage doesn't spread outside my property or any such coverage is masked off.

The short answer - almost certainly not if you are not in a conservation area nor within the boundary of a listed building. Although it might be a courtesy not to record images of neighbouring properties, it is not a planning matter.

I always recommend getting some form of confirmation from the Council before putting them up.
