Convert flat roof to pitched roof?

We have a couple of one storey extensions, one on the back and one on the side.
Is it possible to convert the flat roof on either/both of them to a pitched roof without planning permission? Thanks.

That should be ok providing PD rights remain intact and you follow the PD guidelines.

Generally speaking, you should be allowed to have pitched roofs up to a height of 4m to both the side and rear.

Just out of interest, is the main house single or two storey?

Thanks, that's helpful to know.
It's a 2 storey house.

That should be ok and the PD rules under Class A should be followed as opposed to those under Class B.
