No kitchen windows but five doors...

Strange to me but this property extension will have 4 external doors and one internal door in the kitchen which is on the north side of the building. The property is having a completely new large kitchen built in the extension. The original kitchen is gone.
There are, I believe, two or three skylights to be placed in a further ‘conservatory’ extension. There are no traditional windows except in the doors, perhaps.
There were going to be two symmetrically positioned good sized French windows in the kitchen on the north side of the building. Now this proposed plan has been changed. The approval now seems void as the plan has been changed after approval.
It seems odd to me that windows are not required or needed for a property with such a large garden to view. Also, there seems to be a lack of adequate ventilation for the kitchen. The kitchen is on the northern side of the house so even with skylights, there will be a lack of natural light entering the large room and a greater dependence on electric lighting which then makes that part of the house less cost effective. What happened to ‘green’ issues?
