Permission for outbuilding on land added to listed building

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

My house and its original garden are Grade II listed. I purchased an adjoining strip of (agricultural) land separately, with its own deeds, in 1988 so as to extend the garden. This land has never been contested and by right of time is legally a garden area now.

I want to build a double-garage-sized workshop/shed on a piece of the extended garden (not the original garden).

Can anyone tell me if I can legally go ahead with this without getting listed building consent.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I had the same problem with my property a few years ago in the lake district, something to do with the local planning laws made my original deeds obsolete. A friend of mine told me to ring this guy as he knows everything about planning laws, he was really good...heres his site (contact number top right) think his name was John....http://www.liverpoolcabins.co.uk/
